VERSATILE PROTECTION FOR ALL WOOD PROJECTS
Libéron Superior Danish Oil is a blend of pure tung oil and natural oils which protect hard and soft woods. It brings out the natural grain of the timber and provides a satin to gloss sheen. With added UV filters to help prevent discolouration, it is suitable for interior and exterior use.
PREPARATION
Ensure the surface is clean and dry. Remove any wax or varnish finishes. If required, stain with Libéron Palette Wood Dye before oiling. On exterior woodwork, remove any decaying timber and greying, as this may cause blackening.
APPLICATION
- Apply with a brush or lint-free cotton cloth.
- Allow to penetrate for 5–10 minutes.
- Wipe off excess with a clean lint-free cloth.
- Leave to dry for a minimum of 5 hours.
- Apply additional coats as required. Minimum 3 coats for interior and 4+ for exterior or damp areas, i.e., kitchens and bathrooms.
ADVICE
- May darken some timbers; blackening can occur on some external timbers.
- Not suitable for exterior oak; use Libéron Pure Tung Oil instead.
- Always remove excess oil to avoid a sticky finish.
- Risk of self-combustion – dispose of cloths safely.
- Re-oil surfaces annually or as required depending on use.
- Store at a temperature above 5°C. Always replace the lid otherwise the oil can deteriorate.
