EASY PROTECTION WITH A NATURAL FINISH
Libéron Finishing Oil is a blend of high quality oils for use on all interior wood and turned woodwork. It is suitable for use on worktops, kitchen tables and bathroom furniture and can also be applied to cork, stone and terracotta.
PREPARATION
Ensure the surface is bare. Remove any wax finishes with Libéron Wax and Polish Remover and any varnish finishes with Fine Wood Stripper. Clean, dry and ensure the surface is dust free. If required, stain the wood with Palette Wood Dye before oiling.
APPLICATION
- Apply using a brush or lint-free cotton cloth.
- Allow to penetrate for up to 10 minutes.
- Wipe off all excess before the surface becomes sticky.
- Leave to dry for a minimum of 5 hours. Apply further coats as required. Minimum 3 coats recommended.
- Gently rub with Ultrafine Steel Wool (0000) between coats.
- Furniture items may be finished with Wax Polish Black Bison for an improved lustre.
ADVICE
- More coats increase sheen and improve durability.
- Maintain regularly; re-oil once a year or as required.
- Risk of self-combustion – dry cloths flat before disposal.
- Wipe with white spirit if surface becomes sticky.
- Always test on a hidden area for colour and compatibility.
- Store at a temperature above 5°C. Always replace the lid otherwise the oil can deteriorate.
